An ancient channel established millenniums before the community itself has played a vital role in Otterberg's history. Surrounded by small foothills, this natural channel has managed the watershed and runoff created from urban sprawl while playing a vital role for its citizens. 

While meandering the cobblestone roads of Otterberg, Germany, I noticed that everyone has embraced their produced water as an asset and being managed by roof top connections and pervious surface designs.

Runoff created from urban sprawl is obviously required to be connected to conveyance systems in this culture as every rooftop gutter was connected. A simple role while citizens contribute to asset management and flood mitigation. 

EGRP DRILLING PROJECT SR 100 ALLEN TOWN, FLORIDA

EGRP VERTICLE INFRASTRUCTURE TO AUGMENT PERMEABILITY OF SOILS WAS USED TO IMPROVE SUBSURFACE PERMEABILITY OF SOILS. OUR 3 HEADED DRILL RIGS ARE EFFECIENT IN INSTALLING THESE VERTICLE SYSTEMS. THIS PROJECT IMPROVED THE DRAINFIELD AS A HARD PAN WAS FOUND AT 9'.  NOTE: IN FLORIDA, A SEPTIC TANK DRAINFIELD PERK TESTS ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO TEST(OR HAND AUGER SAMPLE) THE PERK RATE OF TOP 7' OF SOILS). AT THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT, A HARD PAN WAS ENCOUNTERED AT 9' AND IS INHIBITED BY THE PTR DETERMINATION EXFILITRATION RATE FROM DISCHARGING/DISPOSING OF THE EFFLUENT VOLUME FROM THE SEPTIC TANK SYSTEM. THIS CAUSED THE OWNERS TOILETS TO BACK UP DURING HOLIDAY EVENTS WHEN FAMILY AND GUEST CREATED A HIGH USAGE CONDITION. 

NOTE: GROUNDWATER IS FOUND AT 179'+ IN THIS PARTICULAR AREA OF SANTA ROSA COUNTY LEAVING 170' OF FREEBOARD FOR EFFLUENT TREATMENT THROUGH NATURAL AND BIOLOGICAL PATHWAYS TO CLEAN EFFLUENT WATER BEFORE IT COULD ENTER THE GROUNDWATER.

EGRP VERTICLE INFRASTRUCTURE AUGMENTS PERMEABILITY OF SOILS TO IMPROVE SURFACE INFRILTRATION RATES. THIS DESIGN MITIGATES FLOODING AND INCREASES PUBLIC SAFETY. THE POST HIGH PERFORMANCE RAPID RATE INFILTRATION CONVEYANCE CHANNEL(RRCC) DESIGN, AND HAVING A LIMITED OUTFALL DISCHARGE SOLUTION, SAVED THE COUNTY $750K.
